In 2006, I (Marta) was inspired to establish a 24/7 House of Prayer in Fresno after visiting the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. At the time, I was a principal of a local public school I met with a team of friends and we started 7 Mountain Worship Intercession Network, (a 501c3) nonprofit ministry. Our mission was (and still is) to advance the Kingdom of God in seven areas of influence (Family, Education, Business, Government, Media, Entertainment and Church).
We opened a prayer room at the old Security Pacific building in downtown Fresno, CA where a small group of us gathered Monday through Friday to pray for the seven areas of cultural influence. Over the next twelve years, we connected with local, state, and national ministries. We established a prayer club at CSUF, organized healing prayer at a doctor's office and hosted a few 12-hour Sacred Regional Assemblies. In 2011, we changed the ministry name to Hope Reformation. We moved a few times, and by 2018, we met in a variety of locations.
In 2018, I passed the leadership baton to Kathy M., an ordained pastor, as I returned to teaching. Kathy and a few others started The Prayer place on Pine Street in 2023. I returned to HR ministry in 2023 to serve on the Board.
